July–August (Monsoon season)
- Route can close temporarily due to landslides or heavy rain
- Check live route status before traveling
- Book with free cancellation in case of closures
September–October (Best for trekking)
- Fewer crowds, clear skies, best photography conditions
- Comfortable temperatures, minimal rainfall
- Accommodations more readily available
November (Closing)
- Temple closes after Diwali (exact date announced each year)
- Last few days see high footfall — book early if traveling in late October/early November
