ATMs:
- ATMs are available at Sonprayag and Gaurikund — withdraw cash here before starting the trek
- There are no reliable ATMs at Kedarnath itself
- Carry ₹3,000–5,000 in cash for meals, porter/mule fees, donations, and emergencies
Mobile network:
- BSNL has the best coverage on the Kedarnath trek and at the shrine
- Airtel has partial coverage, mainly at Gaurikund and some points on the path
- Jio and Vi have very limited or no coverage above Gaurikund
- Purchase a BSNL SIM or prepaid data pack before departing if staying connected is important
Internet:
- Limited WiFi at some hotels in Guptkashi and Gaurikund
- Do not rely on internet access beyond Gaurikund
