Overview
Chandrashila, meaning 'Moon Rock', is a summit at 4,000 meters offering 360-degree panoramic views of the Himalayas. It's located above Tungnath temple and is one of the most rewarding short treks in Uttarakhand. From the summit, you can see peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch, and Chaukhamba. Legend says Lord Rama meditated here after defeating Ravana.
